Embark on a captivating 5-day tour from Marrakech Morocco, traveling from Marrakech deep into the High Atlas Mountains, all the way to the spiritual capital of the country, Fès. Morocco offers a unique and diverse experience for travelers, and this tour is designed for those with only five days to spare but a desire to witness a radical change in landscapes and architecture.
Itinerary:
Day 1 – Marrakech – Telouet – Aït Benhaddou – Ouarzazate
- Start your day early in Marrakech, heading towards Telouet through the High Atlas Mountains.
- Visit the Kasbah du Pacha El Glaoui and enjoy lunch with a panoramic view of the Atlas Mountains.
- Explore Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, before heading to Ouarzazate for the night.
Day 2 – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Dades
- Discover Ouarzazate, including visits to the film studios and Kasbah Taourirt.
- Begin your journey through the Skoura palm grove, along the Route of a Thousand Kasbahs, visiting the famous Kasbah d’Amrédhyle.
- Traverse the Valley of Roses and return to the Dadès Valley, exploring the Kasbah of Ait Youl and ascending the Dadès Gorges.
Day 3 – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erg Chebbi
- Depart via Boulmane Dadès and Tinghir, passing through fields and palm groves.
- Lunch in Tinjedad and visit a fossil shop in Erfoud.
- Continue to the famous Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. Enjoy a camel ride through the dunes and spend the night in a desert camp.
Day 4 – Erg Chebbi Dunes
- Explore the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes by 4×4, passing nomadic camps, the village of Khamliya, Mfis mines, and desert plateaus.
- Visit the Tissardenine Oasis and return to the hotel for a free evening.
Day 5 – Erg Chebbi – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Fes
- Depart for the northeastern part of the country, passing through Errachidia and the Ziz Valley.
